BNWPS is a joyful, warm and colourful school with a progressive approach to teaching and learning.
In our creative and positive environment, students are empowered to be adaptable, confident and kind young people, with a strong sense of self. At our heart is a welcoming and diverse community who champion the individuality of every student. Deeds not words.
Community
At BNWPS we believe that learning is supported by the involvement of an active and positive school community. Young children appreciate their parents, carers, families and friends being a part of the landscape of their school day.
Community involvement can be as simple as attending an assembly, assisting in the classroom with reading, volunteering in the library, or helping out on an excursion.
For those who are keen, we run a parent/carer helpers workshop in term two. Our Community Events Team (CET) is a dedicated group of volunteers who play a crucial role in the organisation and success of many of our community events such as our Plant and Produce Stalls and our famous Magic Market.
Our uniform
Our optional school uniform is available for purchase at our front office. Popular compulsory items include broad- brimmed hats. BNWPS also offers school bags, polo shirts and winter beanies. We encourage our students to creatively decorate their summer hats. As a sunsmart school, broad brimmed hats are compulsory in terms 1 & 4.
Our logo
Created by one of our community members. The BNWPS logo is lovingly referred to as “the splodge”. It was created to represent a circular collection of sticks representing our connections to land and basis of play and learning.
